aboutus

My name is Andrea Schroeder.   I am a Community Advocate in my local area of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  I lost my 27 year old daughter, Miriah Herport, on October 29, 2016 to a heroin and fentanyl overdose.  Since my daughter's death I have decided to not suffer in silence anymore.  Sharing Miriah's story is more than just a passionate mission, it is has become my purpose.  By sharing Miriah's story, I am raising awareness of the opioid and drug crisis, reducing the stigma, and most importantly I can be a voice for others and those who have lost their lives to this crisis.  Our children and loved ones are not moral failures, and did not die in vain.  By sharing with others, I am not suffering in silence anymore and my hope is, to help and inspire others, heal families, and give people hope.
